Streaming Sports on the Web

When a large ISP sought to broadcast live streaming Web coverage of a local university’s hockey games, I designed the architecture of the pages necessary to promote and present the experience.

Working with general direction from the marketing department, we developed a series of low-and-medium resolution wireframes for the promotion pages, credit-card purchase pages of pay-per-view content, archive pages, and viewing windows.

Our goal was to create an easy, intuitive and fast way for the user to click through a banner ad to the splash page, and purchase and view the live streamed game. To do this, we had to integrate the behaviors of the main site platform with those of the streaming server, the card processing engine, and the rest of the ISP’s consumer portal pages.
